Sergio Govoni

Sergio Govoni has been a software developer since 1999. In 2000, he earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of Ferrara, Italy.

He has worked for over 27 years at Centro Software S.p.A., the ERP Company that develops the best ERP solutions for export-oriented manufacturing companies. He is constantly involved in several team projects, focusing on architecture and mission-critical technical details.

He has been working with SQL Server since version 7.0 and has deep knowledge of relational database implementation and maintenance, performance tuning, and problem-solving. He is also involved in training people on SQL Server and related technologies, writing articles, and actively participating as a speaker at conferences and workshops.

Since 2016, he has been Vice President of UGISS (www.ugiss.org). In 2011, he contributed to the book SQL Server MVP Deep Dives Volume 2 (www.manning.com/delaney).
